Prana Maritime Jacket - Women's
This waterproof rain jacket has a great material and is super soft and light weight and packable and seems pretty breathable. It's very roomy so there's plenty of space for a down jacket under if needed, but it closes with elastic bands along the bottom if needed which tightens it up. I plan to use this on a trip to Iceland this fall as an outer layer.

I am 5'11" and about 145 pounds, I ordered a medium and love the length of this coat in both the arms and torso (longer in the back so you have some coat to sit on if it's wet). It was a little too large in the chest/arm pit area but would probably work great for layering when skiing/boarding. I wanted it more for casual daily use and hiking so would have liked to try a small but they were out of the size in the color I liked, so I returned it and ended up with a different coat. But I loved the idea of this water proof material so you only need one coat instead of a down and a shell for wet weather.
