The footprint is also lightweight and functions as advertised. There are actually grommets for the the poles to fit in to make sure it is fully extended. I have not used in the rain as of yet but expect it will offer the necessary protection.
Just received it and it is ultra light and compact. I did set it up and it was very easy to do and quick. Seemed roomy inside and the rain-fly offers a large space to store gear outside of the tent. I am looking forward to using it.
