At 5'10" and 140 lbs, the small size is a little too roomy on me, but I can live with it. The jacket is quite warm and was probably overkill for my trip with temps in the 20's (F). It packs down to the size of a small bread loaf, but it's kind of a pain to stuff it into the inner pocket. A stuff sack would be much easier. The hood, like many patagonia hoods, has an annoying behavior that exposes the sides of your face when you use the cinch cord. It seems like something they do across the product lines, but I find it quite annoying. If I had to pay retail price, I'd probably consider a competing brand with a more covered facial cinch.
