I was looking for a light weight axe with a longer handle and this one is perfect for me. I'm 5'6" and have had no issues using the akka one handed -- the handle is not so long that it gets in the way. It chops terrifically, and splits great. It's very comfortable anyway you hold it.
The sheath is very sturdy and well made. Getting it off when you're wearing gloves is a little challenging, but I appreciate the simplicity of the design.
I've been using it to de-limb and break down more than 30 dying ash trees (40' - 60' tall) that needed to come down. It's been perfect for the job. I started out using a 15" hatchet, but got this after a few trees for the extra reach and power.
My only complaint is that the handle grain is more than 45 degrees from parallel to the axe head. It may or may not become an issue. I just feel like a premium axe with a premium price should have better grain orientation.
I enjoy using this axe, and I'm looking forward to taking it backpacking.
