After trying almost every ice boot on the market, I settled on these Lowas as an upgrade/alternative to my Nepal Cubes. The fit is similar - wide forefoot and narrower heel - and the cuff height of the Lowas is just slightly lower (a centimeter). This is advantageous for me since I like a little more ankle support than some of the other supergaiters offer (e.g. new Phantom Techs - high cut running shoes!). I get no heel lift, even loosely laced, and no toe bang. For sizing, the size chart on the Lowa Canada website was about right; my feet are about 26.5-9 cm long and the 42.5 fits great. For comparison, I wear a 43 in the Nepals and a 42.5 in the Asolo Freney XT GV. The Lowas fit perfectly with Camp Bladerunner crampons - which are also amazing.
