I always try to break in a new pair of shoes on a number of short hikes. These shoes have felt like I have been wearing them for a long time w/o having to go through that period of “breaking in.” Also love the sturdy feel to the shoe. The front of the shoe has a rubber moisture guard that keeps you toes dry on mornings when you climb out of your tent and have to walk through dew soaked grass!
