In My Own Words:
I'm a single mother to a 12 year old autistic girl. Campsaver will no longer allow me to make purchases with them, as they believe I have made too many returns in the past. Nevermind my rationale for those returns (an autistic child who cannot communicate
This was a great lightweight jacket. Unfortunately, it ran a whole size big, which is rare for Patagonia. I returned it, but one I receive my refund, I’ll be purchasing the same jacket in a size smaller.
I purchased this jacket in the off season so I can't really comment on its warmth just yet. What I can say is that this jacket doesn't photograph very well- because when I received it, it was much nicer in person. It fits true to Patagonia size- maybe even a little snug, which I like, and lives up to its 'air' name because it's as light as a feather! The turquoise color I got us more of a mint green, but like all Patagonia colors, it's one of a kind. For fit, comfort, and looks, I highly recommend it. I'll add to this post, once I've worn it in cool weather.
After THREE attempts to get the right style/size, I finally found my perfect fit. Chaco has such a wide variety to styles- and so in my first attempt, I realized that having the toe loop bothered me. I exchanged those for the non-toe loop (z/1), but a size 8 was a bit too long in the toe (where the size 7 was too short). The answer? Size 7 wide- it’s actually a bit longer in length than the size 7, with the added width- bingo! The only downside to finding your size online was that it took over a MONTH to complete two exchanges (living on the east coast and buying from a company on the west coast). Campsaver is a great company, though- they even gave me a price adjustment to my order when they were having a sale. You can’t beat that! Overall, despite the long wait times with shipping, I would order from Campsaver again b/c of their variety and company philosophy.
