Lowa Ferrox GTX Mid Hiking Boot - Men's
If you want ankle support, but don't want a lot of weight on your feet, give these boots a try. They feel almost like sneakers. The Gortex is excellent and have kept my feet dry on a few occasions. Super comfy. Would definitely recommend.

Osprey Tempest 30 Pack
This is a fairly minimalistic bag, but still great quality. It's a fantastic bag for long day hikes, overnighters, and even summer weekends. I bought the XS for my 10 year old daughter, and it fits great, with room to grow. Osprey also has fantastic customer service.
