The thermo is really good in keeping the coffee hot, it's accurate with the specs it has, but we must realize we should not be opening and closing the lid again and again, if we do, it's completely understandable the coffee is not going to stay hot the same time as if we just open the lid and put coffee in another cup, for me, It is perfect, I have others smallers Stanley Thermos that I use when I am traveling, this is my main use for the big size Thermos, I have a lot of different sizes and a different brands and actually I have found I use most the Stanley's, I got this combo for 2 reasons, first, because I needed a small cooler to travel and I wanted to have my snacks and a lunch with me, and the second one is because my sister in law wanted the thermo as I said I have the 2qt thermo and several smaller Thermos all of them are great Thermos, the reason why I buy a lot of different sizes is because Everytime I travel to Mexico I come back with no Thermos, my brothers and sisters in laws after I took the first Stanley Thermo, now when I tell them I will go there now they ask me if I could buy some Thermos for them and they would pay me back, the last time they asked me if I could buy for them the Stanley's admiral's mug Thermos the French press coffee mug, the Stanley trigger coffee mug, and another time they asked me for the Stanley adventure camp crock, etcetera, they just Google what they want and send me the link with the website, and I take that for them, the lunch her
