I'd give these six stars if I could. I've been hiking for over 60 years and these are the best boots I've ever owned----that's why I have two pair. My first pair have about 200 miles on them. These are fairly light weight, super sturdy and provide lots of ankle support (maybe too much for some folks). I've worn them in the desert heat and hiking in snow when it's minus 10 degrees---I live in WI. You won't be disappointed with these...........

My feet were made for Lowa boots. They're super comfy, light weight and provide lots of support. Just make sure you lace 'em properly. Great price in the CS closeout department and 20% off that! My family and I love CS..............

Excellent boots: comfortable, warm, waterproof and good grip on snow and icy surfaces. Have taken them for about 20 miles so far on steep and relative flat land in temps down to 25 F. No break in needed. I bought them a half size larger for heavy socks but that was probably not necessary. Good value and Campsaver is the best for service.
