Review for
DPS Tour1 Wailer 112 RP2 Ski
I should have done my research on this purchase and did not. I just assumed that, for me, a lighter version of my tele rig would be ideal to put together an A/T rig. But after receiving these skis, I dug into other options and ended up returning them. The reason for this is that these skis will be almost exclusively used in the backcountry and 90% of the time in northeast VT. I learned that the Tour1s are somewhat one dimensional skis. They are good for pow but are troublesome with all other snow types. So, I ended up going with Black Crow Ferux instead as they are much better for the kinds of varied conditions of the northeast. My tele Wailers will always be used on powder days so I needed the A/T rig to deal with less than powder days of which there are many.
