This was a bit better than I thought it would be. Upon opening it looks kinda like croutons except for the ashen color. Has a decent amount of sausage "crumbles" and after tasting I did not need to add salt or pepper. I thought it had a good pepper taste as well. It is enough for 2 servings but I ate the whole pouch myself...should not have done that as it felt I had a lead ball in my gut for a couple hours. I also wanted to wait until the dust had settled before writing this review. So no bad after affects and all you need to do is boil water. Now this is in no way better than cooking a real breakfast of sausage and eggs, but when you don't want to hassle with the cooking and clean up this is a good alternative.
This is a must have for camping. I absolutely love this hawk, it really feels great in your hand. Now the photo shows a good inch of handle over the blade, but I measured mine and it's 1/2 inch from the top. There's no worry's though as blade wont go any higher.
It has a decent edge on it from the factory but I put the stone to mine to get a really good edge. This T-Hawk does not come with a sheath and the sheaths are quite expensive as well. It comes with a small rubber piece that covers the blade edge and I keep that on until ready to use. I have a loop on the side of my camp pants and just wear the T-Hawk there and other times I just slip it behind my belt. The handle is nice and smooth but the color on mine was a bit lighter than whats in the photo but that's an easy fix. The hammer end is great for tent stakes so that's one less tool to pack. This is an awesome product, you can split your camp wood, pop the blade off the handle and shave up some good tinder, and would come in quite handy as personal protection gear. All in all, this is one great piece of gear.
Great tent, great price. This is a discontinued tent by Eureka, but is brand new in box. It's not a display, used or refurbished tent. At basically half price from original msrp it's a steal at $80. In the box is 1 tent body, 1 full cover rain fly, 2 aluminum shock corded poles w/sack, 13 Shepard hook tent stakes w/sack, 3 short guy lines, 4 long guy lines that pack into the stake sack, 1 overhead mesh attic that clips to the overhead of tent body, and 1 stuff sack to hold everything. I'm 6'2" and can lay flat and still have room at my head and feet and can sit up and still have room overhead. There's room for me, my sleeping pad and bag and all my gear inside tent. It's rated as a 2 person tent, you could get 2 adults in with sleeping pad and bags but no gear but would be a very tight fit. 2 kids would fit fairly easy. Also has only one door on the side which is great for one person but not two. I solo camp on my motorcycle so this tent is perfect for me. Great for motorcycle, car or overnight and weekend hiking camp trips, but would be to bulky and heavy to carry on a hiking camp if you will be on the trail more than a couple days. Okay, now for you folks who want a fitted footprint your in luck. You cant get one from Eureka, however the Kelty salida 2 has the exact same trapezoidal footprint 88"x 55"/45" as the sunriver 2 so the Kelty salida 2 footprint fits the sunriver 2 perfectly. I know because I bought one. The Kelty footprint is color coded as well. It has 3 black tab
