These boots were all I could have hoped for! I just finished backpacking the HST and I had very few problems with my feet in these boots. I was carrying a 43lb pack. Trail conditions went from dry to trudging through shallow creeks to slogging through slushy snow. They held up incredibly well and were dry by the following morning for the next day of the trail. I did develop one blister on my foot near my big toe, but I attribute that to trail conditions and the constant twisting and turning on rockier parts of the trail. I'd definitely recommend them for everything from weekend hikes to long backpacking trips.
