I ordered a passenger-side version of this awning and installed it on my converted Ford E350 ambulance. The awning has a wonderfully simple design that is also stout. The included brackets, straps and tie-downs are quality material. I tested this under some strong rain (with all poles deployed) and it worked perfectly. The shade it provides is excellent and the fabric seems to be of substantial material. I'm impressed enough to consider buying the shower system by OVS to install on the other side of the vehicle.
On the negative side, the awning did arrive with some damage (though none on the cardboard box). I attribute this to packaging as the unit is north of 70lbs. The damage is a rip in the bag, a dent in the main aluminum structure and also another dent in one of the arms. I'm currently working with Campsaver who has said they will bring this to the attention of OVS. Hopefully there'll be a happy resolution to these defects.
