Lightweight, great traction

I purchased a pair for my wife (women's) and I (men's)... we have used them for 8-14 mile hikes. Very comfortable with great traction, ample toe room, and ankle support. The only adjustment I needed to make was the insert was rubbing on the outer part of my foot just before the heel causing a "hot spot" on my foot. I added another thin insert to relieve that... I could have also cut the edge of the Topo insert down a bit.

Never had heard of Topo Athletics... especially since I try to keep my money local (US purchases to US manufactures), but in this area of purchasing it's nearly impossible to find a boot or shoe made in the US.
I've hiked about 25 miles (three separate hikes) in these Topo Lightweight boots. Very comfortable, fit well, like the extra room in the toe box. Did a fairly wet and muddy trail just recently and these boots kept my feet dry, no blisters or sore toes, good traction and they have the ability to shed mud and dirt easlie. Thinking about getting my wife a pair.
