This is the first hydration belt I have ever used so I will say I haven’t anything to compare it to. I bought this to use for my half marathon training. It is on the big size for my 5’3”, 113 pound frame. As my waist is much smaller than my hips I need to secure it around my natural waist so it doesn’t bob around while I am running. With it secured it is pretty much as small as it can get which will work for winter running as I have more layers on. The pocket which is supposed to fit a smart phone barely fits it and it doesn’t fit well with headphones plugged into it. This is my biggest problem with the belt as I don’t want to wear a belt and arm band. I tried putting my phone in the back mesh pocket but after ten miles of the phone jabbing me in the back I was bruised and sore for a few days. So, now the phone sits in the front pocket which can’t close all the way. It is easy to get the water bottles in and out of the holster while on the run. Be sure to put the correct cap on the correct bottle! I wish they were labeled or marked in some way. I had a leakage issue until I figured this out. It seems well made, it is light weight and fairly comfortable. I do need to use some body glide next time around as I do get a rash on my back. I am guessing that bulkier belts would be worse than this so in the end I am fairly happy with my purchase. Here’s to more miles!
