First Impressions
Written on Apr 23, 2026
I couldn't find any reviews about this product so I'm giving my first impressions here in case anyone is considering. I haven't taken this sleeping bag camping yet so can't comment on it's function. I am 164 cm tall or 5'4" and a US size small or 4/6. The bag is long enough for my height but it's too wide for my liking. This extra space adds to bulk and it could take longer to insulate me, but I am happy with the weight of it at only 2.6 pounds for a synthetic bag. In its stuff sack it's approximately 13 inches long and 10 inches wide. I won't use the stuff sack when I carry it in my pack. I got this for my first backpacking trip which is 2 days long in summer weather. Mountain equipment is a good brand so hopefully it works well when the time comes. If I were a more serious backpacker I'd look for something more narrow and down-filled.

Affordable down jacket
Written on Apr 23, 2026
I haven't used the jacket yet in cold weather so this review is based only on fit. I'm female, 164 cm and a size US small or 4/6. I bought the size 12 jacket which is a US medium. It has ample room to layer with so it will be perfect for hiking and camping, and it's very lightweight. The sleeves are a tad bit long but it's not a deal breaker.

Flimsy poles break instantly!

Kelty Grand Mesa 2 Tent
Setting up this tent for the very first time in my living room and one of the poles breaks. I didn't read much reviews before buying it, but turns out many people complain of the same thing. Kelty does not keep these poles in stock all the time so it'll be a long wait before you can get a replacement.

Mountain Hardwear Kor Alloy Tight - Women's
I haven't used this pants yet, but they seem to be of good quality. I want to point out that the length is short. I'm 5'4" and this fits like ankle pants. Would have liked it to be full length. It will be too cropped for anyone taller than me.

Rab Cirrus Hut Boot
I wear size 7 in running and hiking shoes. My foot measures 24cm which makes me a true size 7. I got these hut booties in size Small which is supposed to fit sizes 7-8 (women). These booties run really large. I have so much extra space. The smaller size would probably be better for me even though it's advertised to fit 4-6.

Cotopaxi Batac 16L Backpack
Large capacity, lightweight, packable bag. I love the pops of colour that come with the del dia dark model. I do think it's overpriced... but I'm happy with my purchase.

Tight fit, seams not durable

Columbia Summit Valley Legging - Women's
I usually wear a size small and purchased a size small. The leggings fit really tight on me, like compression fit. I'm not sure if the medium would be a better fit because I didn't get to try it on. My waist is 28". I don't like hiking in tight leggings but these would be great for running. The material isn't the most comfortable but it seems like it would resist pilling. The seams however are not durable. While taking off the leggings for the very first time, the stitching around the ankle hem burst. I'm glad I got this on sale, but it was still expensive for being so fragile.

Marmot Esterel Tee Short Sleeve - Women's
I went with a size XS and it fits well and looks great but I think I would have preferred a size S for a looser and more comfortable fit because it tends to scrunch up by the underarm area and I like tshirts to be looser fitting in general. I'm usually a size XS or S in tops depending on the fit of the item. I want to use this tshirt for an athleisure look, because the soft material isn't suitable for fitness (50% cotton, 50% recycled polyster). Well made and beautiful graphics.

Comfortable
Written on Apr 09, 2020
Comfortable shoes and true to size. My street shoe size is 6 and as usual with athletic shoes, I went half a size up to 6.5 and it fits just how I wanted it too. Unlike other trail shoes I have, the sole of these aren't as hard. It also has tiny bumps all over the sole for increased traction. The only small thing I don't like is that the top of the shoe seems kind of puffy. I've had better trail runners but this is a decent, average running or walking shoe and I recommend it!
