I will use this for backpacking the Eastern Sierras in the fall. It has a really good amount of down fill (the baffles are noticeably more poofy than the other jackets I compared it to: Rab microlight alpine and MH Ghost Whisperer 2. The electron pro seems like it’ll be the perfect compromise between compressibility/packability and warmth. Very stoked I didn’t settle for a lesser option. I’m 5’11” and 175 lbs. Large fits well but a bit snugger than other larges.
These fit well. They are kind of a good medium leg hole width, not too skinny and not too loose. The material is very lightweight and stretchy. I will definitely use these for hikes. The pocket on the leg seems somewhat useless though but maybe a good spot for lip balm or something small.
Took it on a 4 day backpacking trip with a Goal Zero Flip 20 power bank and it worked well when I set it out in the sun all day at our camp. I can't speak to it's ability in cloudy conditions. It kept the power bank charged up the whole trip, which I used to keep my phone charged. I use my phone as my diabetic glucose meter so I can't risk it running out of power. This worked great and wasn't too heavy combined with the Flip 20.
