This is my first xeroshoe. I was skeptical about minimalistic shoes because we are used to packing insoles in shoes to “fix” how we walk. This is a great quality shoe, light weight with a flexible sole. Love this shoe! True to size. My feet hurt in them the first 2 days but now I love how the shoe feels. I hope to find another great deal on a xeroshoe pair soon!!
The Timp 1.5 is by far my most favorite trail shoe. It has slightly more underfoot padding than the Altra Superior but is not as high stacked as the Altra Olympus. It does run slightly larger; I usually wear an 8.5 and this shoe feels longer in the toe region. An 8 would have been perfect. But I just added a rockplate insert from my old Superiors under the insole and that mostly fixed the extra toe space issue. Very roomy for the forefoot region but nice and tight around the midfoot. Good traction. No heel slipping. The shoe feels light which is nice after mud collects underneath... I would buy this model again but would go 0.5 size smaller.
