works on Granite Gear Crown 60L

Written on Aug 14, 2019

I used this on my fully packed Granite Gear Crown2 60 liter pack, with a rolled up sleeping pad in the side pocket. The "medium" is the perfect size to completely cover the pack including sleeping pad. (I was not using the optional "brain" pocket that would be on the top of the pack making it a few inches taller.)

I like the drawcord to pull it snug, along with the elastic sides, which make it easier to reach under the sides of the cover. And it includes a thin strap that clips together around the backside of the pack and hold the sides of the pack cover tight. The clip is very thin so it doesn't rub against your back.

I hiked for an hour in light rain, and it kept the pack dry.

I also like that it packs into a very small stuff sack, even though it takes some practice to get it in the pouch (which is a slippery sil-nylon).

My only issue is that that the drain grommet is supposed to be on the bottom, right? With a full pack, the grommet is actually about three inches up from the bottom of the pack. Not a big deal, though.
