Cool hat! (pun intended). I was hiking a few weeks ago and saw someone wearing one of these. It was hot and the sun was baking me. I thought, what a great idea, someone came up with this. I'd never seen it before. So, I searched the Campsaver website and found it. Had to get one. Very happy with it.

found this on sale, took advantage of the July 4th sale. great price, fits great. I think this model might be discontinued, not sure what the new one looks like, but glad I was able to pick this up at a bargain price.

Lowa Locarno GTX Lo Hiking Boots - Men's
Lowa is a great brand, glad I found them on sale. Bought color blue, I guess that color was discontinued. Saved a bunch of money. Would buy again if other colors go on sale. I like the fit and the feel. No regrets.

Mystery Ranch Urban Assault 21 Daypack
I bought this for day hiking and I wanted something light. This is a nice bag and I like the tri-zipper design. Just note this has very limited space. If I was to do it again, I might go with the 24L size. Make sure 21L is good for your needs.
