Runs Large in the Heel, Tight in the Toes

Written on Nov 05, 2022

I wear a 6 - all the time. Very std feet (on the narrow side). Got a 6, and when my foot slid in, my toes were, Yikes! And I have fairly thin wool socks on. With a lot of boots, I wear a thicker sock. In this one, my toes are tight, but my heel slops around. So, while good quality - not good fit. If you have wide toe box, I'd size up at least a half size if not full size.

Very Thin Material and Binding

Written on Dec 15, 2021

Not even sure I'll use or wear this? - may donate to charity. The material (100% polyester) is very thin. But, main complaint is the design/sizing. It feels binding on me under the arms and across the shoulders. If you have super thin arms and not broad shoulders, it'll work fine. I am avg size/avg fitness (5'4" 120lbs), and it feels constricting to me in the upper/under arms. Waist and length is fine. I think it's just the way it's designed/cut. Next!

Smart Shirt w/ Pocket

Written on Dec 15, 2021

This shirt has a crisp feel - it's 98% cotton and 2% elastane (a little stretch). Love the black and blue gingham pattern. Has one chest pocket (wish more women's shirts did...why do guys get all the useful, cool stuff?!)

Sizing is true but tends toward the small size. Size up if in doubt. I have a S (5'4" 120 lbs) and it fits but has no spare room for me in chest/shoulders.

One odd nit...the cuffs are too wide around. Like, on a shirt with 2 cuff buttons, I'd want to move it to the narrower button. But, it only has 1 button. I may move them over so the cuff stays at my wrist and doesn't go down over my hands.

Thin Material, Cropped Sleeves, Runs Tight

Written on Dec 15, 2021

This was on super sale, so I figured I didn't have much to lose. I'll wear it to play tennis, but I won't love it. The sleeves are cropped short. If you have really cut arms, it'd look great. If you have average arms, it's not flattering to expose that much upper arm. It's also cut pretty narrow in the waist, so again, if you're super fit and trim, it's great. If you're average body type, would be snug. And, basically, the material is really thin. Good for a hot summer day, I guess - but doesn't seem all that well made.

Love this Down/Wool/Waxed Cotton Vest

Written on Dec 15, 2021

Love this! It's warm (down), cozy fleece collar, but what I love the most is the combo of the upper wool blend and the lower waxed cotton. All cool materials and interesting combo. My only wish is that the pockets were combo of flap and slide your hands in the side, but they're flap only. It probably runs true to size - I usually wear S (5'4" 120 lbs), but got an M because it was the only one in stock. It's a little large on me in the waist, but I can wear anything bulky like a nice wool sweater under it comfortably. Highly recommend this.

Heavy (Stiff) Canvas w/ Bison Wool Accents

Written on Dec 15, 2021

I actually thought this was one of United by Blue's bison wool-stuffed jackets. It's not. It has bison wool accents on the yokes. The main body is a very thick (stiff) 100% cotton canvas. I imagine it'll soften up with wear and use, and the good news about the thickness is it's built to last. It's lined but not insulated. Still, the heavy canvas adds warmth. Definitely more a casual fashion jacket than outdoors jacket. Fit is good/expected (Small for 5'4" 120 lbs). Overall, pleased - love the color (green) and natural wool accents.
