I needed an insulation layer "just in case" for a trip to the Tetons. I wanted something with a hood that is light and packs small since I expect to only wear it at night for sleeping in my quilt if the temp drops... which of course it can at altitude. This jacket fits the bill.
I am 5'7", 155#, 36C. I choose Large. Nice long sleeves and good shoulder mobility, trim but cut allows for underlayers. I wish it was an inch longer in the body, but that's just me. I personally think the fabric sheen is unattractive and makes the dark colors look like trash bags. I opted for a pink which isn't too bad.
I haven't field tested it yet, but hope the dainty looking shell can handle pushing through over grown eastern trails.
