While designed for sea kayaking, I purchased this jacket for use on extended expeditions on remote rivers in the Yukon and Northwest Territories, rivers of class I-III. On cool, rainy days, this is the perfect shell, with hood, for staying dry and warm. The half zip front allows for thermal regulation. The adjustable hood fits close or loose, as one chooses. The capacious cut allows for full range of motion, even with under layers, yet is not floppy and wind grabbing. This is a jacket that I have wanted for years, but never saw one like this until now. My satisfaction is high. My satisfaction with NRS products and service could not be higher.
