I have neuromas in both my feet and until I discovered Topos, that meant pain whether I was hiking, at work, or just relaxing. No more! I first discovered their hiking boots, which I happened across during a sale at a major outdoor retailer. They worked so well for me I sought out their running shoes for casual wear. Now I come across these on sale at Campsaver and, boom, comfortable shoes that I can wear for work! Score! The toe box on the hiking boots looks very wide (which, being hiking boots, I don’t care about), but these shoes are equally comfortable without looking odd. These are warm shoes, as the description notes, so just be aware of that. For me, they seem true to size: I wear an 8.5 in Teva sandals and a nine in all styles of Topo. These are meant to be worn without socks but I think a thin sock would work, too. The slip-on opening would be too snug for a thicker sock.
Based on other reviews that said the boot ran large I thought it would be perfect for my wide foot. Rather than size down, as suggested, I ordered my normal size and the boot was too tight through the forefoot. Also, the wool liner is surprisingly thin, but since I returned the boots before wearing them out in the weather I don't know if that's a problem in terms of warmth.
