Just got back from backpacking in the Sierra's with low's from 8-15 degrees and it snowed most of the trip. This jacket got me through - used in conjunction with mid-weight thermal, fleece jacket and shell. I had plenty of room under the down to add up to three layers. When less was needed I like that this is a more compact jacket and not too bulky. Also, I love that it packs into its own pocket.

I really like the comfort and warmth provided by these pants. My only gripe is that after I washed them they shrunk up a bit in the length (5'8") - not a big deal but it is something I'm always looking for in thermal pants and seem to have a hard time finding.

Try this at home first, recommend the shower...I have come up with a lot of good reasons to have this: don't have to leave your tent if its raining outside, you don't have to drop your pants (pee like a dude), avoid poison oak/ivy. However, lots of cons too; takes some practice to avoid drips, another thing to cary and keep clean. I keep mine in a designated nalgene bottle and use for emergencies

Love the natural material - after 3 days backpacking in snow and 10-30 degree weather this was one of my favorite items. At the warmest times I shed everything else and this provided just enough warmth on breaks and breathability when we started moving. Also, kept me warm at night and always my base layer.
