Great basic leather boot

I like this boot very much. It seems to run a little large, but this is okay as it gives me plenty of room in the toe box, even with thick socks. I ordered wide and they are true to being wide. They were actually pretty comfortable straight out of the box; just a little stiff and a bit heavy. It only took wearing them a couple of times to break them in to my feet and adjust to the heavier weight. My only issue is that the toe scuffs really easy and the color doesn't run deep into the leather. I will buy leather dye and good shoe wax to protect them. I love that these boots are gor-tex and waterproof. My feet stay comfortable, warm and dry. Of course, I only wear thick wool socks with them. I haven't had any problems tramping through snow. I would definitely recommend these boots.
