Daypack for my wife

Written on Apr 29, 2021

I purchased the pack for my wife to use for day hikes. She is 5'2 and 115 pounds and it is perfect for her body size. The pack has one large compartment that has a sleeve in it, I used the sleeve portion to keep basic survival supplies in the event she gets lost or separated from me. There is a smaller outside pocket for stowing keys, phone, tissue, etc. I think this will work out real good for simple day hikes this summer.

Good for cold weather running

Written on Jan 09, 2021

I am in the PNW and in the winter constantly running in the cold, wet, dark, and depressing winter. If the temp drops below 40, running tights don't cut it for longer duration runs. I got these to try out for colder weather runs. I put them through a 1 hour recovery run since I have had them at about 46 degrees and a slight drizzle. They kept me really warm, they should be perfect for colder temps. They repelled a small drizzle of moisture. I don't know if I would wear them in a downpour because they may absorb the rain.

For fit, I bought the Large based on other's reviews. I typically wear a medium. I am 6 foot tall and 174 pounds. The fit is comfortable, although it feels a little tight near the calves, but nothing that is bad. I would also recommend wearing a brief under them if you are running long distances, not sure if there will be some chaffing issues. They have a small key pocket inside the waistband. There are no exterior pockets. For the price, I am happy with the product. They also have a dual purpose and I could see myself wearing them around the house as lounge wear.

The material is a little thicker so keep that in mind if you are planning on using them as a base layer.
