The actual weight feels like more savings than that. I don't have them both on the scale in front of me, but I'd put it up around 4-5oz... The real point behind 1L vs 1.7L is, how many times do you need that extra 700ml of volume? Will you be solo melting snow? maybe it's worth it then. Do you have the extra room in your pack?
I tend to take my 1L most often, and take the 1.7L when I know I'm going to be melting snow for water, or it will be two of us and I'll have a fresh water source. With two or more climbers in winter/spring, I'll split up the 2.5L pot, stove and fuel between us and it's great being able to fill two 1L bottles and have enough for a couple cups of coffee in the morning.

I like this thermos a lot. When I first received it the lid was squeaky and seemed cheap but after a few uses it worked itself out. Durability-wise, after a few weeks of abuse there are a couple tiny scratches on the lid and the body is in perfect condition.

Why be boring and just use your eye rods! Seriously though, Snow Peak makes great stuff and this cup is light and the color helps tell which is your cup if others have the same cup. i also got the matching anodized green spork!!! my backpacking collection is complete.

This is the jacket that gives me the most peace of mind. I walk for hours in the wind and rain, or ride a motorcycle. I never get wet. All the zippers are square water, and the pockets are also waterproof. A jacket full of sincerity

This bag is a seriously heavy duty bag. IT is one of the most comfortable on the market. The lumbar pad has a coating that keeps it from sliding down your back. Plenty of pockets . Incredible shoulder pads. One of the best fitting packs I've ever owned. Very plush and comfortable. Buuuuuuuuut, it's base weight is quite heavy. That's my only complaint

I think this light will be good for camping, it has different modes, it feels very advanced, It is very bright and has multiple lighting functions and the brightness is enough, it is a very good choice!!

I took this cot out for a weekend car camping trip and was very impressed. As a side sleeper, I always wake up a bit sore after a night in the tent. I ended up putting my sleeping pad on top of the cot and slept like a baby. Super easy to set up and packs down small

Not much to be said here, it is a fork and spoon and they do the job of getting food in my mouth. They seemed a bit flimsy at first but I haven't had any issues with bending or not holding up to my burnt food. I have used them on several camping trips and for a while when I first got into my new apartment.

I use this for camping and work trips. I haven't had issues with filters ripping like other reviewers have. Then again, I'm usually using 20 grams of grounds, so I'm not over doing it. It folds down flat and packs into any bag. I've had it for four months and use it once a week.

Lightweight, versatile.Good product. The only utentil you will need. Long enough to stir the bottom of dehydrated ziploc dinnercbag , or a GSI or Jet boil pot. Super MSR quality always. I have used them on several camping trips and for a while when I first got into my new apartment.
