Review for
Rab Latok Alpine Jacket - Men's
Had this jacket for 2 weeks. Often felt clammy inside, even just walking to the corner store in freezing Montreal winter. Not even close to being as breathable as the Gore-Tex Active I also bought and returned, or even the new Gore-Tex Pro jacket I finally settled with (Marmot Speed Light, I’ve tested a few light breathable jackets this year, this was hands down the best). Also like people have mentioned, the collar can be very annoying at chin level, and unless you only use this jacket fully zipped for mountaineering (loading car with diff jacket, driving to mountain in diff jacket, etc) this will eventually have its toll. The fit was also awkward, but not horrible. It was tight around my shoulders (5’8, 165 lbs) so much that I didn’t have full range of motion, yet was really really slack from mid back to hips. I therefore returned this jacket due to lack of breathability, and (I bet you didn’t know) due to the fact that in order to maintain waterproofness you have to treat it with products sold separately more than once a year. Feel free to ask questions, I put this thing through the wringer for 2 weeks, cheers!
