Picked up two of these on sale - they said irregular, but I couldn't see anything that looked so. :) Snagged the smaller size to reduce weight. Daughter took one camping over the 4th and said it was awesome when compared to those she used on her Outward Bound 50 day Leadership Semester.
This is a big non-trad and will drive most Product Manager bonkers, but I bought this shirt in a men's small for my 17 year old daughter. She loves it! Flannels are her passion and this fits the bill!
Nice piece of hardware. Sharp and well made. Too small however. When it delivered I did notice that the packaging identified it as a "micro knife". My intent was to add to my canyoneering gear after the experience of having my shirt bind up in my rappel device - which I was able to remove by hand and figured having a blade to do the work if needed was prudent. When fully open or fully closed, the blade gives great access to a carabiner. To open the blade however you do need to take it off the biner and use two hands to open (I'm working on a one handed technique). The size of the handle vs. blade makes it hard to open smoothly and I fear that I will drop it. I may work up a lanyard of sorts to see if that helps. I won't be relegating it to my keychain as I tend to lose those at the airport...my problem!
I normally wear a 33" waist, but have slimmed down a little. When I saw the "fine tuning" belt on these I figured they could give me that 32.5" and I was right. Great fit in the seat and legs - not too tight, not too loose. The single cargo pocket's add'l zipper - giving you the choice of accessing the pocket from the top zippered opening or the front side is pretty cool. Good choice and on sale! The ventilated gusset crotch consists of 4 small round holes finished with stiching like a buttonhole. Not sure how effective those little holes will be, but that feature was just an add-on IMO. Thanks Prana and Campsaver!
The price was in my desired range and the reviews were favorable. They did the job on a warm spring ski day at Beaver Creek CO. I wore them over my Rx glasses and have no complaints. Some reviews mentioned fogging and while I did turn my self into a yard sale one time on the slopes that day which did result in me breathing/laughing into the lenses, the fog quickly "burned" off and they were back in business.
