First trip in these into Josha Tree and they held up nice. A couple snags from an extremely thorny bush that I first thought was an ordinary bush till it drew blood. I think this would do well in any mountain environment and they took the abuse of JT's course rock very well. Would buy again. Fit was good. A little tight for a 30in waist but not unbarable. 32" Length was good, I am 6'2"
