very good sleeping bag

Written on Aug 16, 2016

After spending a few years with a competitors 15-degree spoon shaped bag that I do not trust below 30-degrees, I decided to look for a new bag. The WM bag is on a completely different level. The loft is twice as high and the outer shell is significantly more durable. The extra width is enough room for a nomad sleeper to flop around during the night. I have not tested down to the 15-degree rating, but I'm confident enough to give it a try with this bag.

Best packs we can find

Written on Jul 11, 2016

My girlfriend needed a little extra room to carry a bear canister for an upcoming trip to Yosemite. She had been using the Ariel 65 pack. I've owned two different sizes of the Aether series. Between the two of us we tried on a bunch of packs; finally choosing Osprey for comfort, user-friendly features, and exceptional construction.
