This Camelbak works great for my 13 year old son. I wish Camelbak would design their kids series more like this one. The Rogue is VERY easy to fill/re-fill and it threads properly on the first try every single time we have used it. He takes it Pokémon Going, hiking with friends and recently on a pretty significant hike with family. It is perfect! Makes prepping for outdoor adventures a snap and very user friendly. Design is slim and not bulky and holds just enough for my son to carry his phone and a few snacks.

I give these 3 stars. For some reason it won’t let me only give three though. I really REALLY wanted to LOVE these. I’ve been saving and eyeballing these for months waiting to buy them. They are very nice looking and have a streamline design. The colors are bright and my girls like the designs on the backpacks (I bought a purple and a pink one). It seems to be durable material used and they fit them nicely on the one hike we have used them. Now that said, there are some serious fundamental threading issue Camelbak needs to address. I’ve read on other reviews many have had this problem but I figured maybe they were doing something wrong? How hard could it be? Let me tell you, they weren’t wrong and I put my foot in my mouth. It is HARD to thread these properly and very frustrating. This is a basic extremely important function of using one of these. Many leaky attempts adjusting the angle, my grip, position of the bladder, etc....by the time it thread and was secured I lost 15 min and 1/4 the water had spilled leaving the fabric wet and me very frustrated. Not only that, you have to take the bladder out of the pouch to fill it. This makes it much more time consuming that the adult versions where the opening to the bladder is accessible without removing the bladder from its pouch. I wish they would have used the same design in the kids version. I haven’t decided if I am going to return these yet but I’m disappointed overall way they function.
