This was my very first pad I purchased. My first one was an older design and the foot pumps valve quit working and would backfill. I contacted Nemo, sent it in, and they replaced it with the newest version. I was very pleased to have such a great company back their products. That now makes 7 years with my Cosmo and it is still going strong. The pump adds a little more bulk and a little more weight, but heck it makes filling it up so easy and it’s so worth it.
I have this pad and also the Nemo Cosmo. They are a little heavier but I have found the materials to hold up well when backpacking with my dogs. They always find away to lay down or walk on top of it. My favorite feature is the dump valve. It deflates instantly! The horizontal baffles are very comfortable. I’ve never found it to be uncomfortable. It’s never fun to blow these up, but the trade off is packed size. I do love my Cosmos foot pump. If you want a little more convenience and luxury get the Cosmo, otherwise this is a high quality pad.
This was my first backpackIng pad I bought in 2010. The insulation was needed for those nights when it got down in the 20s at night. The pump does add a little bit of extra space but it doesn’t add much more weight compared to the Astro without a pump. I’ve found it to be a needed luxury. Filling it up is a breeze. I’ve used my pad a lot and my dogs usually squeeze in at the bottom or between me and my wife on our Cosmos.
There are a few other tents that are very similar in weight and build to the Dagger. First of all, I love the green color. Nemo is great at making tents with strong structures, durable materials and lots of attention to design and functionality. The floor is 30D that looks and feels tough. I actually feel like I could use this just fine without a footprint (I don’t plan on buying one). I was surprised at how tough the frame on this tent was after I set it all up. For an ultralight backpacking tent I was impressed. Can’t wait to Divvy this tent up with my wife and put some real miles on it. Oh and I bought the Pawprint for this tent. It ads a nice touch and protects your pads and floor from dirty, rough paws.
I grabbed a pair of these on sale. After wearing them for one day I told myself that if I ever found another pair on sale I’d get some more. Well I now have three different colors in these. They are the most comfortable pants I’ve ever owned. The integrated belt makes it so you never need a belt again. The material is stretchy and the bungees at the bottom make it so I can easily sinch them up when it gets too warm.
I used this pack for the first time a few weeks ago. I took it over 25 miles within 3 days. It was actually my first trip of the season so I wasn’t used to wearing a pack and in too good of shape but I had minimal pain in the shoulder and hip areas where packs mostly weigh on. The hip belt is very thick and padded and the mesh distributes the weight of the pack very well. Many great improvements over the last model. The sleeping bag pocket seems to fit and function better than before. The side pockets make it easy to shove a water bottle back there without taking the pack off. Overall seems to have more usable space, very satisfied, no complaints.
These were my first set of climbing shoes. I tried on almost every brand and pair that i could. I wanted a comfortable shoe with a slight down turn but not too aggressive. I found these shoes and could not quit thinking about them. I have had them for 8 months now and they are a very tough shoe. My younger brother recently bought the same pair because he too tried many shoes on but kept comin
