Cozy camper

Written on Oct 20, 2014

I switched to the Xtherm because of the super durable bottom after many nights on a deflating Exped Synmat 7. Even after returning the Exped to the factory it continued to give me problems. The Xtherm is nearly bulletproof and cozy to boot. Ordering Tue large straight off the bat will save you the hassle of having to return the Regular forthe larger size.

Happy Hiker

These shorts are durable, light weight and fast drying. My hiking setup includes these shorts and a pair of rainpants when it's wet or gets chilly, so these shorts get a lot of use. I prefer the 7" version to the 9".

Lighten Your Load

This is an excellent bag to take backpacking and thru hiking due to the 19oz weight. Combined with a down parka and wool bottoms, I can take the rating down to that of a 20 degree bag. However, compared to other 30 degree bags I think this one sleeps slightly colder. That aside, this is my go to 3 season bag.
