I bought this to work with my 300ml cup for boiling water. The top piece that comes with it is a great addition that makes it much more usable/stable, but in my case my cup was too small and had to fabricate a center piece to keep the small cup from tipping and falling into it. For larger cups it would work great. The fuel sticks do not work as good as the fuel tablets (the sticks do not burn

I bought these to go with my collapsible stove but found that they do not burn as hot or as long as the Esbit Solid Fuel Tablets. I could not boil 1/2 cup of water with one stick alone, but it did heat up the water to just under boiling.
