Comfortable boots

Written on Feb 14, 2024

The Hoka shoes and boots with their plush support are great. I have issues with my feet and these are helping me and are wide enough to be comfortable. I had the earlier version of the Kaha and I had issues with the sole and tip of the boot and it looks like Hoka corrected the problem. I am happy with the boots so far. The quality looks good and the comfort is as expected from Hoka plush support.

Warm jacket

Written on Jan 08, 2024

This jacket is comfortable, warm, good looking, it fits well and is soft. I wear it as a middle layer and really enjoys the fact that it does not have a hood. It fits nicely.

NNN BC bindings

Written on Dec 02, 2023

These NNN BC bindings are simple and functional. The bindings were not that hard to install but the instructions were not that clear. We had to watch videos on Youtube to make sure we were doing it correctly. They work as expected once installed. We have had several similar NNN BC bindings and we know they are reliable, easy to maintain and they get the job done! We have similar bindings on skis about twenty years old and they still work perfectly.

Good quality and good looking

The Mammut Stoney HS jacket is a really well made, quality product and it's also very good looking. It is not the most technical jacket on the market but is perfect to ski the resort and for other non technical adventures. I am wondering how well the material will age since I am not familiar with the membrane used on this jacket so only time will tell. The hood is removable which is nice on clear blue bird days and the powder skirt is a nice addition. The under arm vents are a great feature and they are easy to open compare to other jackets.

Good quality but not the warmest

Written on Mar 22, 2023

The Marmot Exum Guide Glove - Men's gloves are really well made. The quality of the gloves is great. Those are not the warmest gloves out there so look for other models if you are looking for something really warm. A little smaller than regular gloves I own.

Finally some comfortable heated socks

Written on Nov 17, 2022

I tried many different brands of heated socks and none were comfortable. They all felt too thick or the wire was at a weird place or the fabric wasn't appropriate for winter activities. I used this sock for snowmobiling and bc skiing skiing and they are great so far. The only thing I can say that isn't positive is that they don;t heat up as much as other brands I used but they do last all day!

Comfy shoes

Written on Nov 01, 2022

This shoe is comfortable and allows me to walk and hike even with my foot problems. I have four pairs of Hoka One now and only wear that brand because the sole is plush and the toe box wide enough for my condition. I like the fact that these shoes are not as colorful as some of the other Hoka One shoes.

Great size pack for a day adventure

Written on Nov 24, 2021

I have a BCA Stash 40 but it's too big when I go out just for one day of sledding or a quick ski tour so I got this pack and it's a perfect size. I will mostly use it for sledding (snowmobiling) but it's great also for touring. It's very well made and I love the sleeves for hydration and my BCA radio.
