I have become addicted to titanium camping cookware. I am an ultralight bikepacker and backpacker; weight and multi-functionality are important to me. This mug is great for coffee, soup, noodles and other food when I'm on the trail. And for some reason, I've taken to using it at home and for car camping, mostly for drinking beer! Fits 12 ounces of beer just fine and keeps it cold. My campmates are always jealous because ti is so stylish!
Nice set and perfect for solo camping or bikepacking. I use the stove with a regular espresso maker for quick shots on morning bike rides. Easy to use and easy to carry. The stove came with a nice little plastic box for use if you're not carrying the stove and the pot. Like all Snow Peak products, this will last a long time.
I mostly use the Kanpai for coffee. The regular lid is great to use while carrying the bottle in my pack on the way to work. Once in the office, I switch to the drinking lid. No more spilling in my pack! One day I decided to try it out as a cooler for a special can of beer. I kept the chiller lid in the freezer overnight and put in my can of beer at 7 in the morning. I left the bottle in my pack all day at work and on my bike ride home, I stopped to enjoy my beer and the sunset. At 6pm, the beer was still perfectly chilled!
Yes, it's pricey but the cool factor is high and it's great to have a choice of lids. Snow Peak is really going for the lifestyle marketing right now but their products remain as highly functional as ever.
