I've had this stove for 25 years and I know many who have had it for longer. MSR is the standard and the design of this thing is amazing. It has been all around the world. I used the international model with all kinds of fuels, but it does work best with white gas. Picked this up on-sale for my kids, as I get them into backpacking!
Cool design and mates well with NOMAD 5 solar panel, but I think because this is an older model, it's probably been on the shelf. I charged it fully several times with the NOMAD 5, AND it hardly charges 1000mAh.
I'm a Big fan of the klymit V and a side sleeper. Using that as a comparison, the trail King SV is pretty good. Feels a little sturdier, as there is foam in between the air channels. The only downside is it's not as compactible and will take up more space in your pack. It's also then I might have to slightly more expensive. Durability yet to be seen...
