First: we are car-campers, and we like to hang out in our tent in the evenings, especially if the bugs are bad (there's a port in this tent for your electrical cord for a reason). Therefore, portability is not something we really worry about in a tent. That being said, this tent is a great drive-in/set up/go-about-the-day/shower/hang-out-before-going-to-sleep-on-your-cot kind of tent. We set up two cots and a low table (nightstand) in this tent and have plenty of room to sit on cushions on the floor. The vertical walls mean that your nose isn't 3 inches from the tent ceiling when you sleep and that you don't have to bend down to get dressed. Really--it's almost like being in the back bedroom of a 1980s tract house, without the drywall. And, since you wake up in the Rockies, not in Garland, TX, that is a very good thing. Furthermore, we did the research, and CampSaver was the best value. CampSaver's customer service (we knew exactly when the tent was shipped and would be arriving) was a bonus.
