Real nice boot that feels like a shoe

After 10 years of hiking with a pair of Redhead (all leather, thick Vibram sole) decided it was time to move on. I've been hiking mostly along the Appalachian trail in New England's White mountain region (20+ miles/day) and chose these for their comfort level. I was not let down. The size was very accurate (9.5 men's) with enough width room. Lacing made it easy to strap in. Good ankle support. I did the entire Presidential range with these and my feet could couldn't be happier (zero blisters).
If there was one minus I noticed from that hike, the soles didn't seem as "sticky" on the rock as my Redheads; they would slide a bit which made me a little more cautious during the hike. It's something I'll forgive because these Salomon's felt about half the weight and made a huge difference.

Great set of survival matches! Waterproof case is very solid, comes with small amount of cotton inside. When lit, the matches burn for a substantial amount of time to allow you to get a fire going in nearly any situation.
