School or around town

Written on Feb 08, 2018

This is a great, but standard offer from Mammut. Standard in that it will hold up for years, but that it is also not the best choice for trekking or backpacking. This is my everyday use, clean look, pack for around town. The back pocket is great for a laptop, or for any documents you don't want wrinkled by putting them next to a folded shirt or jacket you've removed throughout the day. Although that back pocket wouldn't carry much volume, I think its designed for documents and paperwork, or a laptop/ipad.

The other two pockets are designed as any pack would have; a large pocket for as much as the pack can carry, and a small pocket for pens, flash lights, or cell phones. Highly recommend this pack for daily use.

Beats Camelback

If you are looking for a decent size camelback for your trekking, look no further than this well put together pack from Mammut. It does not come with a bladder, mind you, but is equipped to hold a large bladder. The color (green) isn’t gaudy at all, and has already received compliments. The separate small pocket can hold your wallet or phone easily without getting condensation from the other pouch. I also dig the drawstring front which is the perfect accompaniment for a smaller pack when you need to take your outer layer off.

Quality/smaller than usual

Absolute love this baselayer. It’s warm, but vents very well. If you were out and about in over 30 degrees, this may be a big warm if you are active outside. As with a lot of Mammut products I own, everything runs a touch small, so go up a size. That being said, everything I own is of top notch quality and performs better than advertised. If you aren’t on the Mammut train yet, you should get on.
