These are good for just keeping in my shell pocket when I need to slip on some gloves for driving, shopping, or outdoor activity. They are grippy on the wheel on cold mornings. I have not tried them in the rain enough to make a statement about their water resistance. They would not be heavy enough for sustained outdoor activity in freezing temperatures, but for moderate temps or as glove liners

Rab Stretch Neo Jacket - Men's
I have only used the jacket so far during rain and late fall temps, and I love it thus far. The sleeves do run long, but when you adjust the cuff strips where you can just pull your hands in and out, it gives you unlimited movement and they don't hang down. The jacket similarly runs long in the back, so you have plenty of coverage when you bend, squat, etc. So, the fit is very well thought out
