Very comfortable fingerless glove

Written on Sep 11, 2016

Love how comfortable this wool glove is. The finger length is somewhat longer than other gloves i am used to. I bought this for fall hiking. So will update once i start using it this fall.

Lightweight yet warm hat

Written on Mar 04, 2015

Surprised how lightweight and warm this winter hat is. Just what i needed for cold Canadian winter. The fit is perfect, with a draw-cord in the back to adjust the size. Pertex outer shell is very soft and sheds snow/rain. Primaloft insulation gives enough warmth. Comes with a cord to tie the ear flaps below the chin. Perfect for winter.

Excellent duffel, fulfils all my needs

Written on Feb 06, 2015

This is an excellent duffel. I also have an Osprey backpack. They have done a good job here. I was looking for bag mainly for travel. Looked at TNF bascamp and Patagonia black hole duffels, but went with this softer duffel. This suits my needs. This duffel can be carried as a backpack which is a plus. It looks smaller because it is shorter, but wide and has enough space for a 2 week trip. I have not travelled much with it so durability is unknown for now. Hence the four stars.

Outstanding insulating midlayer

Written on Jan 22, 2015

I purchased the nano-puff and TNF thermoball jackets to compare. Within minutes i was over heating with the thermoball. But, the nano-puff regulated my core temperature very well. I think it has to do with the interior fabric's breath-ability. I chose the nano-puff. Highly recommend it.

Best all-round Outer shell

Written on Sep 10, 2011

I perspire profusely. At the end of just few hours of hiking, the interior of my fifteen year old gore-tex, and the exterior of my mid layer would be soaked. Wanted to get a more technical outer shell. Since Arcteryx is popular, I started with their softshell first. Although it was breathing well, at the end of the hike the jacket was retaining steam. Then I tried one of their gore-tex pro-shell.
