Best Ball Cap EVER
Written on Apr 17, 2018
Review for
Arc'teryx Embroidered Bird Cap
I really like this style of Cap. Fits my head perfectly, has great color and seems durable. I have not had one of these for that long, so we'll see but I would have to believe it's going to last a long time. What is really crazy is a Large/XL of this Cap, but I wear XS Pants and Shirts, and Jackets, i also wear Medium socks.

Arc'teryx Wool Ball Cap
I love this hat, although it's maybe a slight bit too big for me.
It's warm for winter, looks and fits great.
Very comfortable and love the color.
If you are looking for a ball cap style hat that is warm in winter, this is it.

Great Fit and Super Comfortable Beanie

Arc'teryx Rho LTW Beanie
The Rho has got to be one of the most comfortable materials ever, i have the gloves and will eventually get some of the base layer stuff if i find it on sale.
Got a great deal on this hat, the right color and love wearing this at the Apre ski, if i need a base layer hat, this would be it.
I also love that it has a very snug, but not squeezing, fit and goes over my ears.
Love it

Great Winter Gloves down to ZERO

Arc'teryx Alpha FL Glove
These gloves seem to get a bad rap, and probably a good one from me because i have small hands. I got the XS and these fit GREAT.
I love these, i use them for winter running and used them for some ski trips but when it got down below zero on a couple 4,000 ft mountain tops i was a bit too cold and had to go to a warmed glove, but had I never taken them off, i think they may have been ok. They were incapable of warming my hands back up after i had to remove them to make some adjustments.
Overall, i love them, they fit great and are warm. My only 2 complaints are that Arc'Teryx doesn't really make under the cuff gloves like this and there is no soft nose wipe section.
Otherwise highly recommended.

Great pair of Hiking/Multi Purpose Pants

Arc'teryx Gamma AR Pant - Men's
These parts are fantastic, maybe a little overpriced, but we'll see in 5 years if they are still in great shape they will be worth it.
These pants appear indestructible, and fit great, very slim fit.
I do think there is a bit of confusion on the designers part in terms of this and the MX pants. I would have perfered the zipper pulls on the MX and not so much here, but that is a small issue. I also wish these pants had two hip pockets like the MX as well.
The material is very comfortable to wear as well and despite saying they are slim fit, there is a bit of room for a base layer.
I have taken these mostly winter hiking and found they kept the wind out well, haven't worn them in rain at all, so not 100% sure yet how well they will do, the MX is great for rain and snow. I find these and the MX to be xtremely similar pants functionally. The MX are way warmer/insulated also feel better against the skin, but these are also great pants.

Great Insulated Ski Jacket
Written on Jan 19, 2018
I had a Mountain Hardware jacket and the hood was problematic, so i finally splurged and found a great deal on this jacket. While it's not my favorite color, it's not bad, and the jacket itself is one of the best ski jackets i have ever tried on. Finally got out a few times this season with it and have been almost completely happy. My only problem with it is that i am not a vest guy and the jacket is sort of a super-deluxe vest. The sleeves are lighter than the rest of the jacket and i noticed during the record-breaking cold snap we had here out east that up above the tree-line on the chair-lift, my arms were getting a little chilly, while the rest of my body and head for completely warm.
The jacket itself is a great fit for me, extra small ; 5'3" 125 lbs, and fit a ski helmet perfectly. Jacket was room enough to enable comfortable downhill skiing without feeling any restrictions.
One of my favorite parts is the many different pockets to hold gloves on breaks, a couple power bars for eating on the go, and a few other misc items like a tissue, some thing to wipe my goggles, a great cellphone pocket. Still not 100% sure how to use the sleeve pocket and the other side pocket seems a little small for a water bottle, but i prefer a backpack anyway.
All in all a great insulated jacket.

Platypus SoftBottle With Push-Pull Cap
Love these little ones, but having a purple one to take on small trips is the best.
My favorite part about this bottle is that it gets smaller as you drink from it until it's really small and just fits in a pant pocket or jacket or tucks into backpack
