I purchased this item recently because I wanted a lightweight, efficient, nicely designed spork to take on backpacking and bikepacking trips. And I like the Japanese design aesthetic; simplicity, reliability, and elegance. It’s made in Japan by Soto, a Japanese manufacturer of lightweight backpacking stoves etc and I liked that as well. I’m very happy with my purchase and recommend it.
