Compared to my other mat, this mat is a little heavier. But this mat also has a higher R factor, so I guess it is a trade off. It is easy to inflate and though I haven't used it overnight, it seem very comfortable.
The Comfort plus Insulated mat is slightly heavier than my other mat but it has much more insulation so I'm hoping that it will be worth a few extra ounces and money I paid. It feels comfortable and packs small. It arrived the day I came back from an overnight backpacking trip so I haven't really tried it out.
First and foremost, I have never had a bag that the mattress would attach by using the sleeve incorporated into the bag. Good idea or maybe great idea. I'll need to test drive it a few more times. As the temp only got down to approx 50 degrees, I started out on top of my bag. I got chilled and decided to climb inside. I attempted to zip up and right off the bat, the zipper got cough in the material. I finally worked it lose and then it got cough a second time. From then on I took a lot more care when zipping it up or down. I've never experience that with any other bag I've own. THIS IS A REAL PROBLEM. It needs to be addressed right away. Other that the crappy zipper problem, this bag is very nice and stuffs well and small. I would never dream of giving it a 5 star with a zipper problem like this and I almost dropped the rating to a 3 just because of the zipper. Anyway, I would recommend the bag with the warning about the zipper. There are bags that don't have this problem and they're cheaper.
