I’ve done quite a research looking for the best backpack for my body and Deuter Aircontact Lite 60+10 SL is the one. I am very sensitive to the weight distribution due to an old sport’s injury, and after few adjustments I found the perfect fit. I did go to a local gear store to get help with adjustments, they loaded the pack with 20kg and the pack felt perfectly centered and close to my body, no pinching at the front of the shoulders. For a reference point I did try Gregory 65 Men’s version with 20kg in it, the straps were too wide and pinched at the AC joint, also Osprey Ariel for women, with 20kg in it I could not find the same comfort as with my Deuter, the front of the shoulders were uncomfortable and the backpack did not sit close to my body as I need even after all the adjustments. The Deuter is narrower in construction than most backpacks which works great for me, the feel of balance and centeredness. The waist belt is also very comfortable and gives the support needed. I also like the simplicity and ease of the design/the pockets. The only really very small disappointment (nothing to do with the quality of the backpack) was the missing rain cover which was initially listed as a feature on CampSaver.com. Apparently this new model does not come with it and has to be purchased separately. The very awesome customer service promised to fix the description (it is the older version that comes with rain cover). I love my new backpack and the customer service is amazing.
