The sock-like fit makes it so your foot slides around the shoe if you're doing anything but running straight. I've tried multiple ways to lace the shoe, but still have a problem with my foot sliding around. The shoe is also pretty hot to run it. I ran in the Altra The One 2.0 before this shoe. That shoe felt like it ran a half size too small. This shoe (the Escalante) feels like they finally got the sizing right.

Great for trail running and hiking. My toes never hit the end. I wear an 11 in street shoes and 11.5 in running and I bought an 11.5. Light and comfortable.
